About Profiles on DVD
Michael Mish began recording colorful rememberances for his family 20 years ago by recording conversations with his Grandparents. Now that they've passed away, those memories live forever.
Since becoming a videographer, he began taking the audio from those interviews and merging photographs, family video footage, newspaper articles, and interviews from other family members and producing these PBS-like videos for all his family members to watch and enjoy. Panning and zooming within the picture itself, the photographs begin telling a whole new story. A deep and compelling one.
When friends began watching these memory collages of a person's life, they had all suggested, "Who wouldn't want a definitive video scrapbook of themselves?" With that, ProfilesOnDVD was born.
Message from Michael: I learned so much about myself when my parents and grandparents spoke about their own lives. Here is where one of the most beautiful treasures of my life was. In my backyard.
